    its best.

Grand Designs

Sarah's creativity was inborn. Her mother, a RISD graduate, was a lifelong practitioner of the fine arts, and Sarah herself was always looking for ways to express herself and beautify the world around her from her earliest years.

After college, Sarah led a peripatetic life that took her around the country, from New England to New Orleans to San Francisco, engaging in a number of adventures she'll be happy to tell you about - most of them, anyway.

Eventually, love caught up with her, in the form of a man who would become her husband, and a career that would take her to the heart of the entertainment industry as one of the first female art directors in Hollywood.

Lights, Camera...

When she arrived in L.A. as a young woman, Sarah wasn't aware of what she "couldn't do" - so she just did what came naturally. That meant designing and decorating sets for some of the biggest names in the business. Oscar winners, sports legends, kings and queens of comedy, and a who's who of entertainment titans all loved her aesthetic sense no less than her personality and professionalism.

Sarah worked in TV, film, and commercials for over two decades - while also raising a family - earning accolades and lasting friendships at every turn. If you were alive and had a TV during the '70s, '80s, or '90s, you've almost certainly seen her work.

Tragedy to Triumph

The mark of a person isn't what happens to her; it's what she does about it.

Economic recessions and dire health issues hit Sarah's family hard. A downturn in the entertainment business was coupled with illnesses that struck both her parents and her husband in a short period of time, and Sarah led the move back to the East Coast out of necessity. However, that didn't stop her from pursing her passions, or from helping people realize their visions.

Turning from film and TV to home design and renovation, she forged a new niche for herself, racking up a sterling reputation and amazing results with domestic projects large and small. Ranging from multi-million dollar contracts on Connecticut's "Gold Coast" to more modest projects for people who didn't want their budgets to limit their dreams, Sarah has found a way to meet and exceed her clients' goals with the same personal attention and professional touch she has brought to every aspect of her career.

Renovation

Back in California, Sarah is is excited to help others with their remodeling, renovation, upgrading, and/or construction needs. With intimate knowledge of all aspects of the industry, from suppliers to contractors, she is already making her mark in Central California as she has everywhere she's been. However, Sarah knows that in this business it isn't her story that counts as much as helping her clients continue theirs - making sure people live in style, comfort, and ease. That's what she'll bring to your home design project. Click below to start the next phase of your home's journey.
